Red light, Green light

Seems like everyone knew about this game except me. But now that I have kids, I know it quite well. Our nanny calls it "Red light, Green light". Basically, depending on the child's attitude, helpfulness, etc., the child gets on red, yellow, or green every day. Obviously, the child's goal is to get on green, as there is always some type of reward (sticker, m&m, etc.) at the end of the day. My husband and I "talk" to Ava every morning about staying on green, and she happily says okay. We even bribe her to go to Monkey Joes if she's on green all week. Well, that all ends before the day begins.

Today is a new day. What color will it be?

I bribe with stickers and Curious George...and you know whose child is typically always on red, right??? I liked the pre-red light/green light days...I think the light stresses us much more than them (obviously!).

Happy (almost) Friday!
